ROAD AND RECREATION ASSOCIATION TREASURERS REPORT: Alinea Coy reported progress on reconciliation of Road and Recreation financials is complete thru 03-31-00. Numerous discrepancies have been found and corrected. The mistakes showed no missing funds, errors were in misallocation of billing only.When questioned by the membership as to the status/accuracy of the books in Peachtree at the time of her resignation, Mrs.Coy stated they balanced to the penny, and the subsequent tax workup by G.V.M. accountant Mike Perry substantiated the same. MANAGERS REPORT: Bids for outside audits have been remitted and only one reply received. The board directed the manager to solicit more bids. Discussion held on road repair, revisit calcium chloride as an agent, tabled for further research. Projects reported on include: 500 buck and rail completed; New G.M.C. purchased, cost $13,337.00 after trade in; A.C. office installed, cost $337.00-split; Lakes stocked except Crellin, cost $1,700.00; Experiencing fish kill in Batterson, consultants state cause fungus and algae bloom, aggravated by drought and heat, treated with chemical; Capital/special assessments road projects started- cost to date $14,640.00, all projected and budgeted roadwork for 2000 will be completed by 10/31/00. A.C.C.: 21 homes, 7 additions, 13 garages, 2 outbuildings approved in the last 2 months. John Calhoun stated revising statutes to require sign off sheet prior to approval that potential builders understand and agree to our guidelines, and a formal follow up procedure to insure compliance. He also stated the A.C.C. was striving for consistent, stable, concise implementation of our regulations applied to all applications submitted, regardless of type, size, cost or material. ECOLOGY: Susan Lamb stated Ecology Club will host a workday October 14th, to clear the Mt. Moriah Trail. They are intending to place trash barrels at each of the trailheads. The issue of weed control was discussed, G.V.M. currently has budgeted $2,500.00 for such.The board moved to hire the county per the ecology clubs recommendation (See Attached) and pay for an estimate and subsequent spraying by the same, keeping within the budget. Merle Neihaus made the motion, Marilyn Burhman second, Unanimous. NEW BUISNESS: The board approved changing the locks on the building and regulating the use of the same by the public thru reservation and key checkout procedures. Keys will be issued to all appointed/approved committees and logged. The board moved that all signage other than Glacier View Meadows Committee Events be posted at designated bulletin boards, except signage as stated in article 4.19 G.V.M. covenants. Tim Simpson so moved, Mariln Burhman second, unanimous. It was reiterated that hunting is illegal anywhere within G.V.M. and a $500.00 fine can be imposed on residents only, the sheriff and game warden must prosecute all others.
