CALL TO ORDER

      Gene Carroll called to order at 9:07 A.M.

 

REVIEW OF MINUTES

      Merle Niehaus moved to approve minutes dated April 21st, 2001 as written.  Peggy Bahus second.  UNANIMOUS.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

      Dues collected at 92.5% of budget to date.  Assessment collected at 95.5%.  Expenses at 95.1% operating budget, personnel at 63% year to date.  All accounts/expenditures at the 10 month level look good.

 

MANAGER’S REPORT

      Lakes all at full capacity, back on normal fish stocking schedule.  Road maintenance (capital) complete for 00-01, general maintenance begun, hampered by weather.

      Viewpoint with Annual Notification mailed, 36 days notice.  Fire Barn project started, floor is poured.  A volunteer Fishing Committee has been formed to improve recreation.

      The secretary/office manager position has been advertised, 2 weeks closing deadline.

 

OLD BUSINESS

      The by-laws have been submitted to the corporate attorney for legal review.  The current proposal is on the web site.

      Scott Rullon & Associates has been petitioned for a formal audit estimate, presented at the Joint Meeting on June 13th, 2001.

      The proposed 2000-2001 budget is still under Board review.  At the 2001 Annual Meeting it will be presented to the public for comment and then vote on for implementation.

 

NEW BUSINESS

      Marilyn Buhrman moved to increase guest fishing passes from $10.00 to $20.00 per year.  Merle Niehaus second.  UNANIMOUS.

      All revenue is to go back into the fish budget for auxiliary stocking.

      Merle Niehaus moved to furnish each lot with a minimum of two fishing passes at time of dues payment.  Marilyn Buhrman  second.  UNANIMOUS.

      The Board directed the manager to solicit volunteers for a Fishing Committee, purpose to research and prepare recommendations on increasing the quality of recreation on our lakes.  Said committee directed to report to the first regular board meeting term 2001-2002.

 

PUBLIC INPUT

      Questions arose on the results of the D.O.W. Wasting Disease study, results pending.  Public voiced concerns on reinstating weekend patrols, especially on holidays and hunting season.

      Mary Chisholm petitioned the Board to instigate a Records and Information Committee to facilitate office organization and procedures.

      Merle Niehaus moved to appoint a Joint Committee (coincide with Water and Sewer) Records and Information per Mary Chisholms proposal, under the managers direction.  Marilyn Burhman second.  UNANIMOUS.
