Merle Niehaus reported on current financials, dues collected at 92.2%, assessment at 92.7%. Total expenditures to date at 67.8% with 75% of year past. Trash income at 92.7%, expense at 67.1%. All accounts solvent.
(SEE ENCLOSED) Gus Eykholt presented the rough draft of the R&R Budget for fiscal year 2001-2002.
The actual carryover into 00-01 was $59,000.00 after the financials were reconciled. Overall the rough draft shows R&R solvent with no need for a dues increase in 01-02.
The special assessment is estimated at 50% completion, with sufficient funds on hand for two more years of improvements. At that time the project schedule will be revisited and expanded if necessary.
The Board took the rough draft of the budget under review and will make recommendations after research.
The Budget Committee made recommendations: the Association should budget for a Water Truck to facilitate road maintenance; maximum investment into Backhoe $1,000.00 yearly maintenance; simplify fuel costs by logging miles per vehicle year beginning thru end; reinvest reserve funds to draw maximum interest; increase late penalty and interest fees, increase the cost of fishing passes; increase the employee benefits; and overall budget for the future to increase recreational services for the residents.
The Board gave formal thanks to the Budget Committee, Gus Eykholt, chair, Mike Schutte, Larry White, Alinea Coy, Frank McCorrmick, and Frank Winter. Job well done!
Final revision (#7) needs Board recommendations then submittal to the attorney for legal review. At the 2001 Annual Meeting Glacier View Meadows Board of Directors will inform public of the total rewrite progress, review progress, and then vote on the implementation.

In accordance with the ruling set forth by Judge Sullivan in the recent lawsuit against several members of the current and past Boards, I make a motion that the R&R Board take whatever legal course of action is available to them to pursue the recovery of funds of appropriate court costs and attorney fees in connection with the legal proceeding.
It is only fair and just to the greater majority of G.V.M. residents who have been subjected to the financial burden of this unnecessary legal action that their association be reimbursed for those expenditures.
Therefore, if this motion is accepted by the R&R Board members, legal remedies will be pursued against those individual Plaintiffs who initiated this legal action i e, Peggy Bahus, Marsella Johnson, Diane Morison, Erik Greer and Andrea Greer as set forth in their Petition identified as Case No. 00 CV 1089 filed in the Larimer county District Court, State of Colorado.
